Purr-fect Patchwork blog tour!

Hello!

Today, I'm doing a post about a new book that a sweet friend, Pamela Morgan just got published by C&T Publishing! It's called "Purr-fect Patchwork!" There are several of us reviewing her book this week! Make sure you leave comments below to be entered into a prize that I will announce August 29!! If you make a comment on each blog in the tour you will be entered into the Grand Prize!

I've known Pam for over 12 years, when she used to bring her two little boys with her to shop in my quilt shop! Soon she became one of our staff! She is so creative and we really had fun with her! She moved away a couple years later, and low and behold, we got to cross each other paths in the quilting industry world at Quilt Market! I couldn't wait to get my hands on her wonderful book!

The cute project I decided to make in Pam's book is called "Whisker Away Quilt."

I'm not quite done yet, but you can see I have my fabric all cut, the applique and embroidery are finished. I also got in a little patchwork! My version of Pam's pattern features fall colors in a deeper pallet, going for a more Primitive look! And one of the parts of this pattern that I enjoyed was the Free Motion Embroidery....which I have always called "Poor Mans Machine Embroidery!" Ha ha!

I will be sure to post the finished quilt. I also found some cute little kitty projects in her book that I want to make for my 6 year old Granddaughter Henley! So stay tuned!

Thank you Pam for a wonderful opportunity to review your book!

Enjoy and get yourself a copy!!!

  • That is a very cute block. I think it would work well as the front of a tote bag.
